October 19, 2010 Journalism? Or progressive propaganda
Journalism is no longer the age old watchdog it once was; it is now a propaganda arm for the progressive agenda. The journalists of the past were Americans first, and they took pride in uncovering stories about the ruling class abusing the taxpayer. During WWII journalists were once again Americans first and journalists second; they didn`t feel the need to report stories of how one should understand Hitler and his plight. The journalists of the past dug up the facts of a story and reported it to the public with the intention of letting people hear the story and decide for themselves; this is not the case in America today.
The journalism schools of today are pumping out liberal minded journalists like Henry Ford pumped out automobiles in the last century. The media of today finds the story and tells it from a prospective that leads people to a conclusion. They view a story through the eyes of political correctness and, progressive ideals instead
of reporting the facts. The media of today, when interviewing a politician, will throw the occasional hard ball to a democrat; but holds a template of racism, sexism, bigotry, and greed toward the republican. The media of today will ask relevant, educated questions of the democrat giving them the opportunity to explain his/her ideas; while turning to republican and asking a loaded question about greedy corporations or homosexuality. Give us a damn break you fool`s! There is more important issues going on in the world today other than two men/ women having sex, or if Rand Paul was a Buddhist in college.
The republicans, on the other hand, are so spineless that they fall for these loaded questions and stumble all over themselves trying to answer them; which lend credibility to the question in the end. Some of the Tea Party conservatives are not falling for the template that the left pulls their questions from; I have linked a video of Carly Fiorina being questioned in such a way by some drone reporter at a local
Tea Party event: ( //www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCT8Mnc7hhM ). I was proud to see her “smack down” this jerk by asking him if he happened to notice the thousands of voters around him who had real concerns about America; they don`t care if HP sold printer ink in India!!
Conservatives have got to take back the language in the debate; they have got to be willing to laugh in the face of progressives who call them racists, bigots, and homophobes; instead of having a “deer in the headlights” look on their faces. Conservatism is the majority philosophy according to every poll out there. The left, the progressives, they are the minority in the arena of ideas! It is a so refreshing to see a politician comeback and knock a question from some drone reporter out of the park. It is wonderful to see a conservative who has no fear of the politically correct
media and who will call it like it is. The American Electorate is starving for politicians who will answer a question straight out even if the answers are politically incorrect. The people want politicians who tell it like it is, straight from the hip, and are unafraid of what the polls say.
The religious right in the Republican Party (and I am a Christian) has done damage to our party on the issue of gay marriage and abortion. I am not for abortion, but I think god can be the judge of that issue. My bible tells me to leave judgment to him and I will not be judged. I can go along with making certain aspects of abortion illegal for moral and human rights issues; but some abortions are not the governments concern. The Republican Party has taken a hard stance on gay marriage which has alienated many conservatives who are gay. I don`t give a damn who you sleep with personally, or who you life partner is; I just want to live and let live in a free society. I do blame the gays, however, for feeling the need to put their sex life out there for all to see. I think we should leave our sex lives in the bedroom at home, if I have a fetish of some type I am not going to make it a political issue. I want to say to my gay brothers and sisters, I hope you will ignore the religious right and help us turn the Republican Party around on these issues.
The media will spend the next week running stories which are designed to depress and suppress the conservative vote. Use logic and critical thinking instead of emotion when thinking through these issues. The progressive always pulls on the emotional heart strings with their propaganda; logic is the enemy of the left.

“I am not for abortion, but I think god can be the judge of that issue.” You are correct in saying so…He plainly states His thoughts early on when He judges Cain for murdering his brother. I agree with the ideals of liberty…but there are limitations even in this ..God has given us the right to “life”, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” When it comes to stealing the liberty…the “life” of another…I believe this makes a mockery of our Declaration of Independence. I do not think abortion can reasonably be classified with gay/civil rights, taxes or cap and trade. I do have a strong believe in freedom, and as little government intervention as is possible. (Government is but a “necessary evil” as Thomas Paine wisely stated over 200 years ago.)Thankyou for your article, and I welcome a honest response.

I actually agree with your points. As a christian I have chosen to hate the sin not the sinner as my way of dealing with these issues. I am not able to win these people over to my politics or my religous veiws if we cannot communicate at some level. There really are alot of gays who just vote democrat because they feel judged by the republicans, this can cost us an election. I am not in favor of abortion at all but I dont trust republicans or democrats with this issue, I trust God with it. I think the Lord will handle the guilty in his majestic way. I hope to reach those in the democrat party that can be reached; and teach them we are not as bad as the progressives by far. Thank you for your post! 🙂

Carly Fiorina very nearly destroyed HP single handedly before they got riid of her so there ain’t no way that I’d ever give her the chance to repeat her mistakes an a much larger scale by voting her into a political office.

Ah my dear loyal friend, do you hold Pelosi, Obama, and Reid to that same standard? Thank you for your comment, scott 🙂

I see, well I must admit that I do not know of her past HP endeavors, however, I know she will be FAR better than Boxer could ever be for California.

I remember the time when Gary North trashed Congress {gave em hell} during the Iran-Conta hearings on national television. I cheered him then but because he is part of the religious right I could never in good conscience vote for him nor a Democrat who has turned aside to the left…
Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

Sounds like its a choice between the devil and the devil in a blue dress. She ran HP into the ditch took a golden parachute and now wants to try her hand at running California…If she’s the best the R’s can do in CA then maybe its best if they let the D’s finish bankrupting CA while they take the time to find a really good candidate who actually knows what he’s doing…

I have been touting a theory for severla years that we should let the Democrats have it all so people can see how the really are. WOW……was I wrong, they have it all and have almost destroyed our country in 19 mos.

While I believe that the D’s are indeed destroying this country I also don’t think that the R’s have the answer either. Take Reagan who cut taxes yet went on a spending spree to build up the military to bring about the downfall of the communists running the USSR.
He paid for the tax cuts by neglecting the infrastructure of our nation and by muzzling the regulators through underfunding. Which led not only directly to the Katrina disaster but the electrical Grid is collapsing, Wall Street and Banking exc.’s {Reagan deregulated the banking industry} would have led us into another Great Depression had it not been for the bailout and people are once again dying from tainted food.
Our Grandparents built this great nation and were willing to pay the taxes necessary. Yet their children and grandchildren have become so spoiled that they have begun to believe in the myth of getting something for nothing and are allowing this nation to rot from neglect from the inside out.

Correction I should have written that the electrical grid is on the verge of collapsing and needs to be rebuilt.

No society on this Earth is or will be perfect my friend, but our society is the most perfect in comparison to any other society period. Dont fall into the small cracks of little issues, we have bigger fish to fry than the electrical grid that Reagan didnt fund. Reagan was not perfect but none of the president since him could hold a candle to his statesmanship period.

If you think that not funding the electric grid is a little issue look up what happened in New York City when the lights actually went out many years ago. Then extrapolate that to several majors cities losing power at the same all over this country if the electric grid should fail. Ronald Reagan’s sins are many {all too often ignored because of his accomplishments} and we are just beginning to feel the detrimental effects of his influence over the GOP whose members have taken his policy of tax cuts and deregulation to the nith degree.
AS it was those very policies that gave birth to the borrow and spend policy of the Bush years and led directly to the tainted tomatoes and peanuts during the last year of Bush’s presidency.
And it was Reagan who deregulated the banks that eventually gave rise to the housing and financial bubble that caused the economic meltdown that we are still recovering from at this time.

No my friend, Reagan used spending policies to compromise with a democrat controlled congress during his presidency.
De-regulation was not the catalyst for the housing bubble; the demand from democrats that banks make risky housing loans was the poison dart.
This depression we are in would have been a normal recession if the congress would have followed policies which were friendly to our Capitalist system; instead they began to increase rhetoric and policies against the private sector.
I speak frequently with people who are wealthy and they tell me that they still have money, they are just sitting on it until Obama is contained by a conservative legislature. Reagan understood and respected the power of a free market and personal liberty. This is the reason he has been demonized for two decades by the left.
