Liberalism is a mental disorder

Tag Archives: Obama and the public sector

I hope all of you had as wonderful a thanksgiving as we did in our family. I haven`t posted in several days as I have other writing responsibilities that I must attend to first at times.  I was on my evening walk and I was thinking, as I often do when I walk, about Sovereignty and how it applies at many different levels to the aspect of freedom and a free society. One of my goals in writing about politics has always been to explain political ideals and conservative principles in a more plain fashion. As I watch the talking heads on the news I sometimes say to myself; “no wonder most people hate politics”.

I was chatting with my son and oldest daughter the other day that are now old enough to vote, about how important that right was. They both said “dad we hate politics”. This is the point that I think most conservatives fail to see, that we need to speak in plain straight language to reach the masses. Most people when polled realize that they line up more closely with a conservative than a progressive; they just don`t know it until someone speaks English to them instead of Washington BS.

As I was saying earlier, I want to talk about Sovereignty on an individual level. We all hear politicians speak about national Sovereignty and how important that is; but what about the subject of individual Sovereignty? And what does that mean? The founders believed that one of the aspects of European tyranny was the fact that all rights were granted by a King, Queen, or some other Government official. The Declaration of Independence clearly states that rights are God given at birth to all men, and are inalienable; that is to say that no human, be they pauper or king, can take them away. In other words, you as an individual are Sovereign and own yourself and have rights granted at birth by Almighty God; whatever version of God you may believe in.

The progressive and the Marxists do not believe in individual Sovereignty, they may claim they do when it comes to social issues; but they do not believe in Sovereignty on an economic level. I was in a conversation on a left wing blog the other day and the guy said to me “you have a duty to pay taxes for roads and other social issues”. If that were all the progressives wanted then I would happily agree to some fixed percentage and move on. The problem is that progressives can never name a figure and I have even heard national radio personalities like Hannity or Mark Levin ask this question. I have heard Hannity ask liberals “how much is enough? Name a figure for me”.

Progressives call keeping what you earn “greedy”, I am one who thinks taking something from someone you didn`t earn is an absolute form of greed. To sit back and buy into the “class warfare” garbage that the progressives in the democrat and republican parties spew out creates hatred toward fellow citizens. These people then vote for politicians who will use the police power of the federal government to steal their fellow citizen’s wealth. The rich are the minority in this country and so they don`t have enough votes to fight the majority of Americans who live in the covetousness of a “class warfare” mentality. This in return usurps the very individual rights or Sovereignty of another citizen.

We all have a finite amount of time on this earth when we are born; some have more than others, none of us knows the amount of time we have. Every day people get up and trade time for money, they go to work each day either at a job or a business that they own. Some individuals have paid the cost of years in Trade schools or college and have thousands invested in student loans to pay back. Others may have invented some new product or service that filled a need for millions of people and therefore they made millions in return. No matter how one earns a living, they trade the precious commodity of finite time that they have on this earth to do so. I say all this to point out the importance of private property and wealth, if you trade time for money, that money is your private property and damn well should be. There are those in every society who have physical and mental illness and cannot fend for themselves and we as a society should provide a safety net for them. I have never been opposed to social welfare programs; however, the left wants to sign everybody and their brother up and cares nothing about their citizenship status to boot.

But what should we do about those in society who choose to be mentally ill or sick? What about those who make very poor decisions and shoot a bird to all who try holding them accountable for their actions?  Just as there are many who choose to work hard, finish school, pay their own way thru college; there are those who choose to quit school, do drugs, drink alcohol in excess, and become pregnant at a young age. Finally, there are those who just simply have an entitlement mentality and don`t give a damn about personal responsibility. These leeches on the ass of society are loved by the democrats because that’s who they vote for. The democrats know this and don`t care, all they want is power.

We the people of this nation who love freedom and liberty; should not revert this magnificent society called America back to the horrible European socialism we left behind over 200 years ago.  We should remain Sovereign as a nation and we should respect our fellow citizens individual Sovereignty.

America is a unique and fantastic society, and the only one of its kind in the world.  This great nation was brought about with the intention of escaping the sting of European tyranny felt by the founders and the colonies. The founders wanted to create a self governing society which would allow ultimate freedom from the tyranny of the ruling class; a society in which men were ruled by the law of the land instead of the inconsistent whims of some ruler or king. The founders knew that freedom and liberty were a prized possession that all men dreamed of; yet they come with great personal responsibility and most people of today`s America seem unwilling to bear the load.

This society was built with the idea of local governments having the power to set agenda`s based on local populations and their traditions.  The founders knew that a local state, county, or township, knows its people best and therefore can best legislate for their citizens.  The all powerful central governments in Europe treated their citizens as numbers or statistics because they knew nothing of the people they ruled in general.  The founders knew that if the people could responsibly govern themselves that this was the best form of government.

Freedom has many risks as a byproduct of its lack of control.  The early citizens of this country knew that America was not perfect but compared to the tyranny of European societies, freedom was worth the risk.  The local and state governments began to see issues which needed to be addressed by government in those days such as schools, hospitals, and roads. There are problems which can be best handled by government at the local, state, and federal level; and the constitution is designed to allow those powers and also limit them from harming liberty. There are channels which can be followed that can change the constitution and they are very difficult to enact such as a constitutional convention; this was the intention of the founders to protect the new republic from wholesale democracy. Today we see activist judges changing the law of the land from the bench; a judge should never legislate from the bench as this usurps power from the legislature and the people who elect them.

The progressive movement in America began to have legs under the Woodrow Wilson administration, and has grown every since the turn of the 20th century.  Progressive ideals are not new; they are in fact the same old tyranny that we left behind in Europe two centuries ago. The ruling class mentality of; “we know better than you how you should live your life”, is alive and well in the democrat party as it has become the home of the progressive. In Europe the progressive mentality is the norm and the citizens of those societies never seem to have the intestinal fortitude to change their governments.  They simply criticize from afar and yet look to America to bail them out at every turn.  Immigrants from all over the world, who speak as though they hate America on one hand, scramble to come here on the other. When they come to America they works hard as they can to change America into the same third world hell they left behind; and the democrat party is a willing accomplice to this act in trade for a vote.

The point of all this is to say; you care more about you than government ever will. Those who vote for the politician who says” vote for me and you will have free this and guaranteed that” seem unable to see that the tyranny they unleash on the rich will someday turn on them.  When you chose to give power to the federal government to accomplish your own selfish political goals in the name of class equality; this same government will one day come to you to be fed when it runs out of rich people to steal from. The progressive holds on to the failed ideal that all men can be equal on an economic level; American`s know that all men are created equal with the freedom to be as rich or poor as they so choose. No society in human history has ever been able to maintain economic equality without police power and tyranny.

The American dream of freedom, liberty, individual responsibility, and private property, is at enormous risk.  The future citizens of our country, our children, are being taught to have no personal responsibility by our schools and political leaders.  The citizens of today are so busy making sure that they get theirs, whether by voting or working for it, that they care nothing of the danger signs we all see.  The politicians continue to turn one American against another with the same old Marxist class warfare tactics used by progressive around the globe.  They promise the useful idiot that it is ok to steal as long as the government does the stealing. The useful idiot then stands back with salivating lips awaiting his reward that comes in return for his vote.  Uneducated, fearful, dependant, useful idiots have been the tool of tyrants for the entire span of human history. Freedom and liberty have been achieved by the brave, self educated, fearless, independent patriots of all free nations. Freedom is never free and neither is tyranny; both come at a cost yet produce a different fruit.

The Obama administration has spent much time and effort pointing to banks as evil for holding the stimulus money they received. Obama ran to get in front of every camera he could to say that small business loans were a part of his job creation strategy. It is very easy to explain in this short post how completely incompetent this is and how “over his head” Obama really is. I remember when I first heard Obama bragging about this part of his strategy to create jobs (loaning money); I laughed my @#$%^ off because I knew how completely out of touch with business he was to hold such a belief.

In the capitalist system there are several things that come into play to create a viable market. In the case of the recent depression we have been in, yes I did say depression; it has been exacerbated largely from lack of confidence in the market.  Business owner both large and small have been terrified of the rhetoric that has exuded from this progressive fool in the Whitehouse.  If you are a wealthy business owner who has available funds to purchase new equipment, research new products, or expand to a new location; you are going to pay attention to tax policy in Washington.  If every time you turn on the radio or TV you hear Obama and the democrats waging class envy against the rich; you are going to slip into a safe zone and hide.

The rich in America run the economy and that is just fine by me. I don`t care how much money my fellow citizen makes as long as he/she is creating jobs through business growth.  When investors and business owners are afraid of Washington, they hide their money and wait it out.  Then you see this idiot Obama come tell us he has made available to banks additional funds for business loans to hire new people. Hey Obama…they don`t need barrowed money, they need customers to come purchase products and services.  You can loan a small business $20,000 all day long, but if that business has no customers they cannot pay the money back.  This is the real reason banks are not making loans. These businesses in turn have no customers because the average citizen is out of work and can`t spend. The wealthy people in our country are hiding until Obama and his minions disappear.

Let`s put this in reverse for a second and look at how simple economics can reverse this.  For you drones out there, go sip on a latte for a few minutes as this will not apply to you.  The first thing we need to happen is for Obama and the democrats to shut their class warfare pie holes and allow people to quit fearing Washington tax  and regulation policies.  The next step would be to prove that things are changing by actions and not words; cut taxes and regulation on big corporations and small businesses.  A good start would be to leave the bush tax cuts in place, and then add to them in the next Congress. These actions alone would spur growth because they show government getting out of the way of the private sector.  When the government and Obummer finally leave the wealthy citizens alone and let them do what they do best, the economy will begin to grow again.

When these so call evil rich people are once again un- afraid to invest and grow their businesses, wow…..guess what? They start to need extra help and then the hire new employees.  When these new employees start to receive pay checks, they go to Wal-Mart and other non-union (opps did I say non-union?) places to purchase goods and services.  This in turn starts to create more demand and the cycle repeats until we are in a full blown recovery. The problem is that it requires cut backs in spending and taxation to allow for this growth; and this is a big no-no for power hungry greedy progressives who don`t think we are smart enough to handle our own money.  They always say things like “we can`t afford a tax cut for the rich”, really???….well, we the people can’t afford to keep taking care of the leeches on the ass of America.  These leeches are namely politicians who couldn`t make it in the private sector yet become wealthy in Government making deals on the side.

We the American people who earn this damn money and own it, lest the drones forget that fact, think it`s time Washington does without.  I am tired of telling my family “not this year kids, we have to wait”. Then I turn on the radio and Obummer and his husband Michelle are on another vacation somewhere in the world and Pelosi has a private jet.  It`s time we put Washington on a tight budget and that includes you damn Republicans too.  I want my damn money that I make with my blood sweat and tears to go where the hell I say, not some jerk progressive in Washington. Finally to the drones: life isn`t fair, get off your dead asses and make your own way in life and leave me and my family the hell alone!!

I was thinking what it must be like to be a progressive; believe me it is hard to relate to these people and their horribly depressing world view.  I was wondering what it would be like to hate capitalism, to wake up every day looking for what’s wrong instead of what’s right with America.  Imagine thinking everyone that isn`t a democrat is a racist, homophobe, or bigot.  Imagine waking up every day thinking that all corporations are evil, greedy, and corrupt.  Wow……..I know it’s very hard to stomach, but that is a partial look into the world view of a liberal.

These people think everything is unfair, corrupt, and racist. They think somehow that in this imperfect world we owe them perfection in every area and if it’s not perfect; it must be because of greed, racism, homophobia, capitalism, and Christianity.  They somehow think that America is a detestable example of white supremacy and corporate greed with no ability to see the examples of failure within their own ideology.  The progressive sees all the mistakes of capitalism and the free markets without seeing any of the horrible failures of socialism, Marxism, communisms, or any other nasty ism. The progressive hates the limits placed on government by the founding documents; which is why they call it a “living breathing” document.  The progressive cannot understand basic economic principles or the simple way free markets works.  The progressive is a generally angry individual who hopes to use the police power of government to right the world’s wrongs; they are never quite able to grasp the concept of that same power turning back on them.  They never see that tyranny is no respecter of persons or race.

The progressive holds a simple and very naïve belief in the power government can wield upon citizens. They somehow trust their lives, freedoms, and liberty to the cult of personality or the ruling class.  They see much more danger in self governance and freedom then they do in an all powerful centralized government.  The progressive places enormous trust in the ruling class to be fair to its people; even if world history shows no example of this in any society.  Our founding fathers ran from the very tyranny these progressive fools believe in; they pay no attention to history as they arrogantly believe they can somehow do it different, they somehow have all the answers.  The progressive ignores the historical successes of America and chooses only to look at her failures and magnify them.  The progressive ignores the blatant historical realities of socialism, fascism, Marxism, and communism; and chooses to believe that it has not quit been implemented correctly in other societies. The American people are not interested in your social experiments at the tremendous cost of liberty and private wealth.

The historical realities of human suffering and death under these progressive philosophies are breathtaking and horrifying; yet the progressive philosophy marches on in our academic institutions. Young minds full of mush are brainwashed by old 60`s liberals who still believe in the cultural revolution. Countless millions of innocent and precious human lives have been terminated and destroyed without judicial review or legal recourse by madmen who believed that Karl Marx was right.  Millions more still live today under oppressive, tyrannical regimes that have no respect for human life or God given rights.  The progressive is a selfish, ignorant fool who would have everyone smothered under his/her social belief system without regard to its historical consequences; all in the name of so called fairness and equality.

This progressive philosophy can be boiled down to one simple selfish character flaw on the part of Karl Marks and his followers; it all boils down to covetousness and envy. The progressive hates all who have succeeded on their own. The progressive has no faith in the individual to make his/her own decisions and certainly has no stomach for the consequences of free choice. The progressive lives by emotion and detests logic. The human brain is a powerful and amazing creation which gives the human being the power to reason and discern fact. The progressive thinks in bumper sticker statements which have emotional significance; however, when put to the test of logic or critical thinking, are easily debunked.  The progressive cannot debate on factual issues and quickly spirals down into personal insults and worthless generalizations of racism, homophobia, and bigotry. The civil rights movement has been bastardized by race warlords such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton; these men have made the word “racist” completely ineffective and unimportant.  Dr King had a vision of men being judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin; Jackson, Sharpton and others have seen race as a way to enrich themselves at the expense of the civil rights movement.  The black people of America should be outraged at the way they have been used by these men.

The simple laws of nature show that this world is imperfect and sometimes unfair. The cheetah is faster than the antelope and pulls him down with brutal force to become the meal of the day.  The world is full of accidental deaths, murder, sickness, crime, and brutality from one human toward another.  No man has been able to fix all of life’s ills and no man can. Not one leader in human history has been able to create total human equality and no leader will ever reach this unattainable goal, because it does not exist.  The American capitalistic system is not perfect nor will it ever be perfect; however, it has proven to be the most perfect and fair system in an unfair and imperfect world.  Capitalism has allowed more freedom, liberty, private wealth, and innovation in the market place, than any other system known to man in history.  The progressive will never understand this or believe this.  The progressive will always look for some new leader to worship who promises a utopian society.  This society has only one requirement; the total surrender of liberty and individual rights.

Liberty has been defended by many throughout human history; bloodshed will always follow when the ballot box no longer works. The progressive somehow believes that those who love freedom, capitalism, liberty, and individual rights, will stand idly by as tyranny is forced down his throat. This is a foolish and naïve belief for the progressive to hold. Freedom loving people will always be willing to shed blood for their God given rights, and if the ballot box fails to be uncorrupted; bloodshed will soon follow my progressive friend, history never lies.

I want to thank all of my readers; I also want to say that you drive me and help me think about what I will write next in each sentence. As a writer I must think about the audience I am speaking to as I write; it helps me  to frame my thoughts as I put them together to communicate my ideas.  Today, however, I plan to throw all academics out the window and just get gut level honest: I have a resentment today!

I have spoken with a lot of people over these last few months and so many of them are in horrible shape financially. I have watched businesses close down and some even disappear. I see house after house with either a for rent sign or a for sale sign in front.  I hear the stories at the local café` about those who are working and those who are not. The new haves and have not`s are; the ones who have jobs and the ones who don`t.  And yet, the democrats march on!

The democrats and the drones continue to blame all this on bush: He must have an enormous amount of power that Bush; to screw the economy up so bad four years ago that we are still paying the price.  The democrats have had control of the house since 2006 remember? The democrats would not work with bush on anything he asked them to do legislatively; except to fund the War, and even that was a fight.  Bush is just not that damn powerful people; and I tell you, my fellow countrymen, that no one would have let Bush blame Clinton two years into his presidency.

Yes the democrats and the drones march on; and they have no regard for those who are hurting. When is the last time you talked to a government employee? It`s really sickening if you take a minute to talk to them about the economy. They say things like” I know, everyone’s hurting right now,” and they try so hard to act like they give a damn. The truth is that they are just damn glad to have a job and not be in the private sector. None of these people would give an ounce of their precious gravy train away to help a fellow citizen.  They walk around with eyes forward and heads down in a crowd of people who used to have a private sector job.  They know damn well what’s going on; Obama is for the public sector period.

Since Obama came into office the only legislative agenda he has put forth; is public sector, union jobs.  This president doesn`t give a damn about the private sector and neither do his drones. As a private business man I never took anything away from a fellow American in any deal I made.  The things I wanted and needed for the growth of my company and to feed my family never required others to sacrifice. I was the one who sacrificed, and I was the one who paid the price for my own wellbeing and financial success.  The drones and the public sector employees are not like that; they must take from us the citizens of this great country to get what they want or need.  They cry and bitch about benefits and yearly raise`s as if they have it so damn bad, and yet they make far more than the average private sector employee.

The public sector employee could care less about the private sector companies that are now on the rocks; as long as they keep getting their paychecks and benefits.  They look to Obama and buy into his convoluted, moronic explanations’ as too why the economy is still slow and are glad to blame Bush.  I believe that in their minds, if its Bushes fault, they have no guilt of their own to consider.

The truth is as simple as this: if you are a democrat and/or a public sector employee and you keep supporting this fool; you are guilty as hell for the horrible things you see your neighbor and community business owner going through.  The private sector taxation pays your damn paycheck fool. If you continue to support a politician or president that is harsh toward the private sector; you will someday loose you little gravy train job. I know some of you work very hard each day you go to work: I use the phrase “gravy train,” because you damn well get better pay from the government than you would in the private sector.

So, what do these people do, they  keep their  heads down and hope they can get their little piece of the pie secured before the shit hits the fan.  The public sector employee is scared to death of conservatives and “The tea Party,” because these groups might actually cut government jobs and benefits to bring them back in line with reality.  I have one question for the public sector employee; who the hell is it that was born to wake up every day and pay extra taxes so your family can live the high life? Yes, I have a resentment, and I am not ashamed to tell it like it is.

The other day, I was sitting in Dawsonville, GA at a store and a government (Dawson County) vehicle pulled up to the store. The driver was a female and she got out of this 2009 Ford Explorer with a smart phone too her ear and a great looking outfit on. On her wrists were several gold bracelets and on her fingers were beautiful diamond rings.  I watched her walk into the store, I`m sure on the clock, with a smile on her face and laughter in the conversation she was having.  I wondered if she knew how many private sector people were hurting, out of work, losing their homes, and deeply scared and depressed.  I wondered if she had felt a pay cut, couldn`t pay a bill, or was worried about her future.  She may have been a perfectly nice person, and she may have compassion for all the things mentioned; but, on the other hand, she may not give a damn, as long as she gets hers.

We must begin to care about our neighbor once again. We must let go of this horrible class warfare ideal that separates’ us from one another.  The public sector had better start to wise up about where they’re bread gets buttered; I have some news for them, it’s not from government. The public sector employee needs the private sector to grow, expand, and be healthy if he or she wants to keep they’re jobs.

I lost a business this past year; one that I built from the ground up.  I didn`t make poor decisions or live above my means. I never treated my customers poorly or operate in corrupt ways:  I am a victim of government. I am a victim of Obama and his anti-business rhetoric which frightens the investor and freezes investment spending.  My business slowly evaporated over a two year period into nothing more than a hobby. I had a gross sales of over $250,000 a year until 2008; by 2009 it was cut in half and continued to spiral down into nothingness by 2010.

I decided to share this personal story, not for pity, but because there are thousands of like stories out there in the private sector, and no one in government seems to care. Thanks for reading, thanks for listening, and thanks for your interest in this Blog.
